Free PDF Form Filling Improved

PDFescape, the free PDF editor, now supports radio, list box, and drop down (combo box) form fields, in addition to the text field and check box field types already supported.

Filling PDF Forms in PDFescape

New files opened on PDFescape will automatically support these types of form fields.

PDFescape not only makes it easy to edit PDF files, but also allows its users to fill out PDF forms quickly and completely.

As always, this update to PDFescape is free of charge.

Encrypt PDF Documents Using PDFescape

PDF files being edited in PDFescape can now be encrypted when exported or emailed.

For quite some time, PDFescape has supported opening PDF files which were encrypted with a password. Now, files saved using the free PDF editor can be password protected.

With a PDF document open in PDFescape, simply hover over the "Edit" menu, and click "Document Security".
Edit and encrypt PDF files using PDFescape for free
Check the box to indicate that you wish to password protect the file, enter your password twice, and click OK.

These password protected files will require the user to enter a password before viewing the exported PDF file and its contents is allowed.

PDFescape encrypts the entire contents of the PDF using 128-bit encryption, keeping sensitive information safe from prying eyes.

Just one more way in which PDFescape continues to be the most featured, free PDF editor.

PDF Page Rotation - The Much Asked For Feature Arrives!

There probably hasn't been a single day in the past 3 or 4 months in which a loyal PDFescape user hasn't put in his or her request to allow the rotation of pages in PDFescape. Heck, Adobe Reader can do it, why can't PDFescape!?

CTdeveloping is proud to announce that the free PDF editor and PDF form filler, PDFescape, can now rotate pages in PDF documents being edited.

Rotating documents is both quick and easy.
Rotate PDF Pages Using PDFescape, Free PDF Editor

Simply select the "Pages" tab in the PDFescape interface. Then click Rotate Right or Rotate Left to rotate the currently selected page one direction or the other.

With this improvement, PDFescape takes yet another step toward being the only PDF editor you need!

Note: Because of what we believe is a bug in the way Webkit handles the <canvas> tag, Windows Webkit users (Google Chrome & Safari for Windows) may experience a slight bug when rotating pages. It appears however that Mac Safari users are not affected. We're working on a correction for this asap.

PDFescape Firefox Add-on Updated

CTdeveloping is proud to announce that version 0.9 of the PDFescape Firefox Add-on is now available via Mozilla.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5363

This latest version for our free PDF editor and PDF form filler, PDFescape, fixes some minor issues for our Mac and Linux users.

Additionally, it now supports the new Firefox 3.1 Beta 2 (which is very exciting, because Firefox 3.1 features the new Tracemonkey JavaScript engine which vastly improves the speed of JavaScript based web applications, such as PDFescape)

PDFescape Now Completely Free

We are proud to announce that PDFescape is now a completely free PDF editing service. Not only is no registration required, no watermark will be added to files when either saving or printing! Additionally, we have improved PDFescape's speed when opening files and have doubled the file size limitations.

This is a major step forward for PDFescape which we are proud to be taking.
