RAD PDF 3.17 Released

Red Software is excited to announce version version 3.17 of RAD PDF, the ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core Web Control for reading, printing, editing, filling, signing, and now certifying PDF files!

This release includes a new "Redo" option for users of the GUI allowing users to both undo and redo their actions. Redo can be invoked via the Client API, Edit menu, or CTRL-Y shortcut.

The PdfSignatureShape popup now also resizes itself better for mobile use. Previously, screens narrower than 520px did not show the popup correctly.

Additionally, this new version includes new certification options for ASP.NET Core and other minor improvements.

This update is available free of charge to customers with an active Maintenance Plan.

RAD PDF 3.9 Released

Red Software is pleased to announce version 3.9 of the ASP.NET GUI for PDF editing, PDF form filling, PDF form design, PDF signing, PDF viewing, and more, RAD PDF. This version features a number of improvements and bug fixes for a PdfSignatureShape with a popup. With this upgrade, the signature process can be further customized (button text can be set per object) and creates a better customer experience (e.g. input selection for signature popups is now clearer).

Additionally, this version makes it possible to be notified of HttpHandler exceptions and customize logging behavior on a per notification basis. Use a PdfIntegrationProvider to listen for exceptions by overriding the OnHttpHandlerException method.

This update also includes a number of bug fixes and other improvements.

This release is available free of charge to all RAD PDF licensees with an active Maintenance Plan.

RAD PDF 3.7 Released

Today, Red Software announces version 3.7 of the web PDF reader, form filler, and editor for ASP.NET, RAD PDF. This update improves RAD PDF's signature objects, allowing image based signatures to easily be placed and scaled to fill the region without stretching. Adding a document signing tool to your web application with RAD PDF has never been easier or more adaptive!

This update also has improved client side rendering and other minor improvements.

This release is available free of charge to all RAD PDF licensees with an active Maintenance Plan.

RAD PDF 2.37 Released

Red Software is proud to release version 2.37 of RAD PDF, the ASP.NET PDF viewer, PDF editor, PDF form filler, PDF signer, and more. The new PdfSignatureShape object allows signatures to be easily captured in specific regions of RAD PDF documents. The PdfSignatureShape object can be drawn on using a mouse or touch device. All marks made outside of the box will be removed making it easy to limit where a user draws.

With this update, RAD PDF can be configured to use lower overhead local WCF connections without encryption for high performance environments. For advanced use environments, RAD PDF now supports multiple PdfIntegrationProviders in different virtual directories. This makes it easier to setup multiple RAD PDF implementations inside the same web site.

This release also includes minor bug fixes and other enhancements.

Red Software is proud to announce the release of a powerful new feature for PDFescape, the free PDF editor!

Now supporting "freehand" drawing, PDFescape enables users to add annotations, signatures, or hand drawn graphics anywhere on a PDF document. Simply click the new "Freehand" tool on PDFescape's "Insert" tab to start. Then click and drag anywhere on the page, adding ink where your mouse moves.
